Cities Of Earth's second official recording.
Originally released in longer form as 'Recent Instrumental Compositions' in 2004, Radiometry is Cities Of Earth's second recording. Like it's predecessor, Radiometry was assembled from hundreds of hours' worth of audio treatments, found audio, and melodic fragments—although with much more structured rhythmic and song elements (once again provided without the aid of a computer).
Radiometry also marks Cities Of Earth's turn into darker and more complex aural territories that would be fully realized on 2009's Dewline. Cavernous, hallucinatory textures ('Within Dark Waves,' 'Where The Radiation Grows') swirl amid the chatter of mysterious voices and gnarled rhythms ('Circadian Rotator,''Up From The Ground').
